To the children and grandchildren of Dick Harry and Dottie Lou Cole:
This blog is a series of historical fiction stories based upon genealogical information I have collected for the past 60 years about your ancestors and their families. These stories tell about "Life on the Mayflower and in Plymouth Colony", "First planters in Massachusetts and Connecticut", "Pioneers who moved westward to the Oregon Territory", and "Life in the 20th Century." The stories are told in the voices of your mothers and grandmothers of twelve generations from 1620 to 1991.
Through my genealogy research I have come to see the names on the family list of ancestors as plain simple people who didn't make the newspapers or nightly news, but who have helped to make American what it is today. All of these stories come from my book "Our American Family" which you can find at www.lulu.com/content/1506880
The book may be too long and boring for you to sit and read, but I know you read stuff on the internet. So here it is in small pieces starting with Grandma Irma and Grandpa Ralph Harry.
I love you all, Grandma Harry and Aunt Evelyn
